Square and hex grids
Flip between square and hexagonal grids with a toggle. Choose pointy-top or flat-top hexes, and hide the grid entirely whenever you want.
Set the board up your way
Align the grid to your map
Adjust cell size from 10 to 500 pixels, nudge the grid with independent X and Y offsets, and tune line thickness, opacity, and color.
Press play when you're ready
Flip the Ready to Play switch when you're ready to share an encounter with your players.
Image overlays
Drop in image overlays like a boulder, a wall of fire, or a collapsed bridge, then resize and rotate them freely. Send them above or below the token layer, lock them in place, or hide them from players until the moment lands.
Drag in characters and monsters
Your campaign characters are already waiting in the token library, the full bestiary is a fuzzy search away, and the creatures you used recently stay one click from the board.
Custom tokens
Build a custom token with its own name, HP, AC, initiative modifier, and uploaded art. Perfect for the ogre with a name, the cart the party insists on protecting, or the mimic that isn’t a chest.
Every token carries its own numbers
Editable stats on every token
Editable HP, AC, and initiative per token, quick damage-and-heal controls that clamp at zero and max, and creature sizes from Tiny to Gargantuan that occupy the right number of cells.
Ring colors and condition badges
Give any token a colored ring from a nine-swatch palette, and toggle conditions from your game system’s own status list. Badges hug the token and show their names on hover.
HP bars with visibility controls
HP bars run green, amber, and red as tokens take hits. The GM always sees them, players see their own party’s, and a single toggle decides whether enemy health shows at all.
Hide tokens from players
Flag any token as hidden and it vanishes from the player view entirely. Handy for the assassin behind the curtain or the trap nobody has stepped on yet.
Movement with a distance readout
Tokens snap cell to cell with a live distance readout as you drag, arrow keys nudge the selection one cell at a time, and alt-drag clones a token in place.
Lasso multi-select
Lasso a group with a rectangular marquee or a freeform polygon, then move or delete them together. It makes marching twelve skeletons down a corridor a single drag.
Paint fog of war
Paint fog freehand, erase it, or cut it with polygon strokes, with adjustable brush size and edge softness. Cover All and Reveal All handle the whole map in a single click. You see a translucent dim layer you can keep working under, while players see solid darkness, and the tokens beneath it simply don’t exist for them.
Freehand drawing
Freehand drawing in nine colors with brush size, softness, and opacity controls. Your drawings persist in the scene, while player drawings fade on their own, like a finger on a wet map.
Real time updates and syncing
Ping the map
The ping tool drops an expanding ring pulse tinted with the pinger’s color. Just enough to point at a door, a body, or a very suspicious statue.
A multi-waypoint ruler
Measure multi-waypoint paths that snap to cell centers, with a running total in your encounter’s units that respects your diagonal rule. Fireball placement, settled.
Per-person undo and redo
Undo and redo cover token moves, fog, drawings, and overlays. History is tracked per person, so your ctrl-Z never rewinds what someone else just did.
Autosave and real-time sync
Everything autosaves continuously and streams to every connected player in real time. It works offline and re-syncs when you’re back. There is no save button to forget.
